• Image displays Ali lighting the flame at the opening ceremonies of the Summer Olympic Games on July 19th, 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.
• Nicknamed ‘The Greatest’, Muhammad Ali aka ‘Cassius Clay’ was a former American professional boxer and considered one of the most influential sporting figures of the 20th century
• He held the Ring Magazine heavyweight title from 1964-1970. He was the undisputed champion from 1974-1978 and was the WBA and Ring champion from 1978-79
• Ali finished his boxing career with a record of 56 wins and 7 losses with 37 wins coming by way of knockout
• In 1984 he made public his diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease but remained an active public figure globally
• Ali passed away on June 3rd, 2016 at the age of 74
