• Raquel Welch was an American actress
• She first gained attention for her role in Fantastic Voyage (1966), after which she signed a contract with 20th Century Fox
• She appeared in the film One Million Years B.C. (1966) and only had three lines of dialogue in the film. However images of her in a doe-skin bikini became bestselling posters that turned her into an international sex symbol
• She went on to appear in many more hit films during the 60s and 70s and also made several television variety specials
