• 1934 Original type 1 press photo of World Heavyweight Champion Primo Carnera at his training headquarters in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey preparing for a fight with Max Baer. A full paper caption is included on the back of the photo
• Also included is a signed sheet autographed by Carnera in 1935 in Middleton, Connecticut
• Carnera became World Heavyweight champion after knocking out Jack Sharkey in a fight at the Madison Square Garden Bowl in Queens, New York
• His next fight was against Baer. Baer knocked Carnera down multiple times in 11 rounds before the referee Arthur Donovan stopped the fight
• Authenticated by JSA certification #Y73693
• Very good condition; minor corner and edge wear. Small tear right side of image. Small spot of discoloration at bottom of image connected to top of paper caption. Some light smudge marks on the upper right side on the white background. Folding spine of caption displays some splitting. Faint creasing present. Image presents very well. Autograph presents well with no fading, smudging or bleeding. Autographed sheet has a folding crease and some tape residue present
