- Designed by famous American artist/illustrator Henry Patrick Raleigh
- Dramatic propaganda poster depicts a soldier lifting up an injured man, appealing to those on the home-front with “Blood of Bread: Others are giving their blood. You will shorten the war – save life if you eat only what you need, and waste nothing” written below
- Poster has retained its vibrant colours and presents beautifully
- Printed by Forbes in Boston, as noted at the bottom right corner
