With text below image:
The American Stone chat is a small passerine bird that is an insectivore occurring in open scrubland and grassland with scattered small shrubs. This bird is slightly smaller than the European robin. Both sexes have distinctively short wings. They are short-distance migrants or non-migratory. The male’s song is high and twittering like a dunnock. Both sexes have a clicking call like stones knocking together.
