• The 1977 Toronto Blue Jays was their first season in existence in Major League Baseball (MLB). They would go on to finish seventh in the American League (AL) East, over 45 games behind the World Series Champions New York Yankees. The Jays featured players like Jerry Garvin, Roy Howell, Bob Bailor, and many others
• On August 28, 1977, the Toronto Blue Jays played the Oakland Athletics in Toronto at the Exhibition Stadium. In the photo, Oakland Athletics’ Bill North gets tagged on an attempted steal by Blue Jay Steve Staggs. The Athletics would go on to win the game 6-2
