• 1938 vintage Horrors of War trading cards manufactured by Gum Inc.
• The original 1938 Horrors of War set consisted of 240 cards that illustrated and gave history regarding the Chinese-Japanese War, the Ethiopian War, as well as the Spanish Civil War. The set became so popular that Gum Inc. decided to add an additional 48 cards depicting the violence in Germany and the start of World War II. Card numbers #252 – #288 are considered “more rare”
• The 4 cards included in this lot are #78 “River Gate is Death Trap for Chinese in Rout”, #149 “”Delousing Party” Behind Japanese Lines”, #135 “A Battle from a Rooftop in Barcelona” and a more rare #268 “Gunboat Oahu Sails in Defiance of Japs”
• Each card is 3″ x 2.5″
• Great condition; little to no notable rips or tears throughout cards. Some edgewear and corner wear. Some general toning due to age. Please examine photos carefully
